Frequently Asked Questions

Our unique facility provides a safe, quiet, and stress-free environment for all the dogs enrolled in our training programs. Unlike traditional kennels, our dogs are housed in individual padded crates in designated dog rooms, or they may even stay in their trainer’s offices during downtime. Although the dogs are out training, playing, or off-property on field trips for the majority of the day, it’s very important that they have a quiet place to rest during downtime.

To help limit stress on the dogs and disruption to our training schedule, owner visitation is not allowed. We have found that owners coming and going throughout the program actually causes more stress in the dogs, which can have a negative impact on their progress.

Your dog’s food (preferably a large bag), and any supplements or medications they may need during their stay. We have all the other equipment and supplies needed for their training and care.

For adult dogs, we require all the standard vaccines: Bordetella, DHPP, and Rabies. Dogs must also be healthy, free of internal and external parasites, and be up to date on monthly preventatives for flea/tick/heatworm. We do accept titer tests.

For puppies, since they may arrive for training as young as 8 weeks for training, we do not require that they be fully vaccinated, but we do require that they have a negative fecal exam prior to arriving for training. Our veterinarian will keep up with your pup’s vaccines and preventative care during their program (for the Head Start program only). For safety reasons, we keep younger puppies separate from the other dogs until they are further along with their vaccinations.

Yes! It’s vitally important for puppies to explore and socialize during the critical period of their development (neonatal-16 weeks of age). Keeping your puppy inside the home 24/7 and not letting them explore new environments is detrimental to their development. We never let puppies meet strange dogs, and we keep them off the ground until they are vaccinated, but they do need to get out and explore to help them become confident, well rounded dogs into adulthood.

We pride ourselves in our transparency. We post continuous photos and videos of each dog that is enrolled in a board and train program and we also keep owners updated via weekly email and video updates. We understand how hard it is to be apart from your dog, and we never want our clients to be concerned about their dog while in our care.

Yes! Our training is designed to be easily transferable to owners. We offer extensive owner training in all of our programs, ensuring owners feel confident when working with their dog.

Yes! We offer unlimited follow up support in all of our programs. Whether you need an additional private lesson, or want to attend a group class or pack walk, our graduates are able to schedule follow up training whenever needed.

Additional FAQs for our Puppy Day Camp

After puppies arrive for camp, they spend most of the day working with our trainers on basic training concepts and socializing in playgroups with other puppies their size/age. We also work on their crate training, so they receive some rest time in a crate between training and socialization sessions. We also offer additional add-on services, such as field trips off-property and grooming services.

Absolutely! We highly recommend owners enroll in a private lesson package, or sign up for at least 1-2 private lessons so that they can learn what their puppy has learned during camp to help maintain that training when the pups are home.

No, if your puppy has not been properly crate trained and is obsessively vocal in a crate, we would require that they enroll in either the head start or preschool puppy prior to attending camp. This requirement ensures a calm and quiet environment for all the puppies attending camp.
